Acceptance of terms

Sample Studio is developed and published by Sleeping Giant Marketing Services Private Limited ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Sample Studio, you agree to these terms and conditions. If you don't agree with any part of them, please don't use the app.

License to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Sample Studio on devices you own or control, for personal or professional music-making. This license is subject to these terms and to the terms of whichever app store you downloaded it from.

Acceptable use

When using Sample Studio, please don't:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, except where applicable law expressly permits it
  • Redistribute, resell, or repackage the app outside of official app stores
  • Use the app to create or distribute content that infringes someone else's rights
  • Attempt to disrupt, damage, or circumvent any technical protections in the app

Your content

Any samples, recordings, and projects you create or import in Sample Studio are entirely yours. Because the app has no server and no account system, we never receive, view, or store copies of your content — it exists only on your device, and wherever you personally choose to export or share it.

You're responsible for having the necessary rights to any audio you import, record, or sample, and for keeping your own backups. See our privacy policy for more on how your data is (and isn't) handled.

Intellectual property

The Sample Studio name, its interface design, and its built-in procedural sound kit belong to its developer. These terms don't transfer any ownership of that intellectual property to you — they simply let you use the app as intended.

Third-party hardware

Sample Studio supports USB MIDI controllers, Bluetooth MIDI controllers, and USB audio interfaces made by other manufacturers. We don't control, and aren't responsible for, the behavior, quality, or compatibility of any third-party hardware you choose to connect.

No warranty

Sample Studio is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device, operating system version, or piece of connected hardware.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer of Sample Studio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including, without limitation, loss of samples, projects, or exported audio. Please back up any work you care about; nothing here limits any statutory rights you may have under the law that applies to you.

Changes

We may update Sample Studio and these terms from time to time as the app grows. When we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.

Termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Sample Studio at any time. You're free to stop using the app and uninstall it whenever you like — no strings attached.
